Course Overview
Communication Essentials gives frontline supervisors and PMs the tools to lead a crew day to day. Leadership Essentials is the next step up: it’s built for the people who own culture, capacity, and succession across the whole company – owners, GMs, senior project managers, and department leads.
The course is organized around four proprietary Fourfold diagnostics, each addressing one structural leadership gap that shows up repeatedly in ICI construction firms: a culture that drifts from what leadership intends, a calendar dominated by reactive firefighting, a bench of talent no one has actually mapped, and a habit of delegating in name only. Each module pairs a short diagnostic with a practical working session – participants leave with their own results and a concrete next move, not just a framework.
This course is worth 2 Gold Seal Credits

Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Diagnose the gap between the culture leadership believes it’s building and the culture the team actually experiences, across accountability, psychological safety, decision clarity, and modelling (Drift Audit)
- Assess their own Chronos/Kairos balance — how much of their time is reactive versus intentional — and identify one concrete shift to reclaim strategic time (Tempo Check)
- Map the bench strength of their direct reports across trajectory, investment, clarity, and agency, and identify who’s ready to move up, who needs investment, and where the succession risk sits (Depth Chart)
- Identify where their delegation intent and their actual behavior diverge, and name the root cause — trust, systems, identity, or capacity (Delegation Gap)
- Leave with a one-page personal leadership action plan connecting all four diagnostics to specific next moves
