Calgary Construction Association Partners with Headversity to Launch Workforce Resilience App, Advancing Mental Health Across the Industry

The Calgary Construction Association (CCA) is pleased to announce the launch of the Workforce Resilience App, developed in partnership with Headversity, a leading workplace mental health and resilience training platform. The initiative will officially launch at a special industry event on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Platform Calgary at 407 9 Ave SE.
This event marks a milestone in the construction industry’s ongoing commitment to mental health and wellness. The launch also introduces CCA Workforce Resilience, a new umbrella initiative uniting CCA’s wellness programs, including the Tailgate Toolkit, into a comprehensive continuum of care for Calgary’s construction workforce.
“Construction workers build the spaces our city depends on, but too many face stress, burnout, and mental health challenges alone,” said Bill Black, President & CEO of the Calgary Construction Association. “Through this partnership with Headversity, we’re making daily, proactive mental health support accessible to every worker, right on the jobsite and at home.”
The Headversity app equips workers and leaders with real time, evidence based tools to strengthen resilience, manage stress, and build healthier workplace cultures. It complements CCA’s existing Tailgate Toolkit program by providing flexible, mobile support that empowers users to take control of their well being anytime, anywhere.
“Construction teams need support that fits the pace and reality of work,” said Dr. Ryan Todd, Psychiatrist and President of Headversity. “Together with CCA we are putting practical training in the hands of every crew, helping leaders prevent issues before they escalate and giving them clear proof of impact. This partnership is about protecting people and showing results across jobsites and companies.”
The Workforce Resilience App represents more than another initiative, it is part of a broader movement to change how construction workplaces operate in Calgary.
- For Workers: Private, flexible tools for mental health, resilience, and personal growth.
- For Leaders and Employers: Resources to foster trust, reduce stigma, and strengthen culture.
- For the Industry and City: A measurable, collaborative approach to workforce well being, retention, and safety.
“Tailgate Toolkit started the conversation. Headversity provides a tool that keeps it going,” added Black. “Together, they form a coordinated framework for prevention, education and workforce well-being that empowers workers, strengthens teams, and builds a stronger, more resilient construction community.”
