The CBE is hosting a Career Resource Fair on Wednesday, May 17th at Forest Lawn Highschool. CBE is looking for companies or individuals to attend as an exhibitor and welcomes any trade or position. They are looking for people interested in sharing a story about their career path. A career path is almost never a straight line, and students are searching for personal advice on how to get started in industry and related options from within skilled trades and career pathways. Calgary Construction Association Recognizes Red Tape Reduction Implementation Act As A Significant Step Forward in Addressing Public Procurement Issues
The Calgary Construction Association recognizes significant action by the Government of Alberta to address concerns around public procurement, specifically the application of prompt payment legislation to provincial projects. Primarily, the recently passed Bill 9, the Red Tape Reduction Implementation Act, amends the Public Works Act to change the level of authority to make or amend regulations from Cabinet to the Minister of Infrastructure.
