We recognize the essential role your industry plays in building and maintaining our city, and we appreciate the efforts you have made to adjust your operations during this period. Bearspaw South Feeder Main Reinforcement Project Update #2 (March 12, 2026)

Water demand status   Yesterday, total water demand was 489 million litres, once again putting us in the Green Zone where the drinking water system can meet demand with the feeder main out of service. Staying in the Green Zone continues to support safe system operations while we rely primarily on the Glenmore Water Treatment Plant. We thank everyone for their great work so far and ask them to continue water saving measures until the feeder main is back in service.   Repair status and schedule Excavation continues across all work areas to prepare pipe segments for reinforcement. Bearspaw South Feeder Main Reinforcement Project Update #1 (March 9, 2026)

Water demand status  Today is the first day of water restrictions, and we will know tomorrow if use was below 500 million litres per day (MLD), in the “Green Zone”. For context: The “Green Zone” means water demand can be met safely by the drinking water system during the shutdown. The “Red Zone” means demand is too high and increases risks to the system.
