CCA Workforce Strategies Funding Impact Report
Today, the Calgary Construction Association is proud to launch our Workforce Strategies Funding Impact Report.
Since 2024, we’ve invested more than $850,000 into workforce solutions that are helping build a stronger, more resilient construction industry. These initiatives have spanned classrooms, job sites, and communities, each designed to inspire, attract, and support the next generation of builders.
Through BLUPrint at TELUS Spark, thousands of young people have been connected to the trades through hands-on science and technology experiences.
With the Tailgate Toolkit, we’ve empowered crews across the Calgary region to take action on mental health and wellness in the workplace.
Our Legacy Workforce Programming has provided long-term training opportunities to address critical skills gaps. Honour the Work has introduced a K–6 curriculum supplement program that inspires students at the very start of their educational journey, while Adopt-a-Shop is making a difference in shop classes across Calgary’s junior highs and high schools by connecting students directly with industry.
The Teacher & Trades Tour has opened doors for educators, giving them firsthand experience in the industry and better tools to guide students into rewarding careers.
Behind each of these initiatives are stories of students discovering their passion, workers feeling supported, and industry leaders stepping up to ensure the construction sector thrives for decades to come.
This report is more than numbers – it’s a reflection of the impact our members are making in the lives of people and communities across Calgary and beyond. We are grateful for the responsibility of carrying these programs on behalf of industry, rooted in today’s needs while shaping tomorrow’s workforce.
We invite you to read the full story of our shared progress and commitment to building a stronger construction industry for years to come.
