City of Calgary COVID-19 Contractor and Volunteer Vaccination Policy Compliance

As anticipated The City of Calgary has just approved and published the COVID-19 Contractor and Volunteer Vaccination Policy. The safety of employees, contractors, volunteers, and citizens is a top priority for The City of Calgary. The policy is intended to mitigate the risks of COVID-19 to ensure a safe and healthy workplace. This will minimize serious illness and severe outcomes related to the spread of COVID-19 while minimizing workplace disruption. You can visit the webpage for more information.

Effective December 01, 2021, contractors (including subcontractors), suppliers and volunteers performing work for The City must be fully vaccinated or obtain a negative COVID-19 test within the last 72 hours prior to any sustained in-person contact with a City employee at a City worksite. Sustained in-person contact means in-person contact for 15 minutes or longer (cumulative) within a 24-hour period.

To meet the requirement of this policy, contractors and suppliers must complete the COVID-19 Contractor Vaccination Declaration Form before December 01, 2021. Please do not use the form with Internet Explorer (IE) or Firefox.

The City will respond to contractor non-compliance with the policy in accordance with the processes and consequences specified in the Supplier Code of Conduct Policy (ALT2020-1056).
