Jesena Andoney Memorial Award- Supported by Jesena’s Family and Westcor
On May 18, 2019, our earth angel Jesena got her wings. Although she is no longer with us in person, we all wanted to find a meaningful and enduring way to have her spirit live on.
Over the last year or so, Westcor has received many thoughtful suggestions. Westcor is very pleased to have landed on a perfect one.
Together with Jesena’s family, Westcor has been working with SAIT and have created a scholarship in Jesena’s honour known as the
Jesena Andoney Memorial Award
Supported by Jesena’s Family and Westcor
The Award has a value of $2,000 per year with a minimum three year pledged commitment stating May 2021 – with the intention of this Award continuing for many many years to come. The scholarship will be awarded to a female student enrolled in Bachelor of Science Construction Project Management.
SAIT is hosting its International Women’s Day (IWD) virtual Conference on March 8th, 2021, and Westcor is honoured that they will be announcing Jesena’s Memorial Award at this Conference. The theme of this year’s IWD Conference is “How to be a good ally” and sharing Jesena’s story will undoubtedly be impactful to all!
