Statement from the Calgary Construction Association on 2025 Municipal Election Results – October 21, 2025

The Calgary Construction Association extends its sincere congratulations to Mayor-elect Jeromy Farkas and the newly elected members of Calgary City Council.

As a city-building industry representing more than 900 member companies and over 100,000 workers, the CCA looks forward to working collaboratively with Mayor Farkas and Council to advance policies that strengthen our economy, build resilient infrastructure, and support a prosperous Calgary.

Throughout the 2025 Municipal Election, the CCA shared its platform — Calgary: Built to Respond, Designed to Last — a blueprint for addressing Calgary’s $7-billion infrastructure deficit, tackling workforce challenges, and ensuring our city remains competitive, connected, and built to thrive. We remain committed to championing the ideas and partnerships that will help turn those priorities into action.

The construction industry is ready to continue doing what it does best: building Calgary’s future. We look forward to working with the new Mayor and Council to ensure that our city’s growth is balanced, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of every Calgarian.

Finally, the CCA extends its sincere thanks to outgoing Mayor Jyoti Gondek and the previous City Council for their service and leadership. Their efforts and commitment to Calgary have helped lay the groundwork for continued collaboration and progress in the years ahead
