Access up to $1 million through the Energy Savings for Business Program

Alberta contractors, manufacturers, and distributors can help eligible businesses receive up to $250,000 per project and up to $1 million per parent company for high-efficiency products and onsite energy generation technologies. By applying to Emission Reduction Alberta’s Energy Savings for Business (ESB) program and Expanded Technologies Pilot (ETP), businesses can decrease operating costs, grow operations, become more competitive, and reduce emissions.

The ESB program helps contractors and their clients build projects quickly through a readymade menu of incentives, including technologies such as combined heat and power (CHP), variable frequency drives (VFDs), building envelope and lighting. Whether it is an industrial facility, retail space, hospitality venue, multi-unit residential building, warehouse, or office building, investing in energy-efficient technologies can reduce operating costs.

To make applying for the program easy, contractors can access supporting documents, the contractor social media kit, the incentive calculator, and our free Application Assist service. The incentive calculator can help you walk clients through expected energy savings and incentives available. Then, when you’re ready, use Application Assist to be guided through the application process for faster turnaround times.

Coming Soon: Comprehensive Energy Savings (CES) Stream. For participants bundling multiple efficiency measures, the CES stream supports facilities that are aiming to achieve deeper emissions reductions and energy savings by providing a bundling bonus. If you have upcoming projects in mind, please fill out our Submission of Interest on our CES webpage.
