Revisions to ACA Forms A & B to Align with CCDC 2 – 2020 Stipulated Price Contract

CCDC 2, stipulated sum contract between owner and general contractor has been revised and is available for use December 2020. A review of ACA Form A (agreement between general contractor and subcontractor) and ACA Form B (agreement between subcontractor and subsubcontractor) was undertaken to ensure alignment with CCDC 2 – 2020. The review concluded that while CCDC 2 – 2020 introduces the Ready-for-Takeover provision, rather than introducing these provisions in Forms A and B, subcontractors need to comply with flow-down provisions from the Prime CCDC2 contract (including Supplementary Conditions). Saskatchewan tendering provisions ‘building walls’ around the province: MHCA president

via Journal of Commerce ConstructConnect by Grant Cameron Contractors in Manitoba maintain that the Government of Saskatchewan is including provisions in tender documents that make it difficult for out-of-province contractors to bid on construction projects. “Alberta and Manitoba have level playing fields,” says Chris Lorenc, president of the Manitoba Heavy Construction Association. “That, sadly, is not the case in Saskatchewan.
