Yesterday, the Calgary Construction Association (CCA) was pleased to announce its partnership and historic investment with TELUS Spark Science Centre and the Government of Alberta, resulting in the launch of a pioneering program designed to inspire youth to pursue careers in the skilled trades. As Alberta’s population and economy continue to grow rapidly, demand for skilled tradespeople continues to increase. The labour shortage is the challenge of our times, and that is why the Calgary Construction Association Education Fund is investing $100,000 towards the BLUprint Program – the largest single investment made by the Fund since its inception in 1998....

Update July 18: Critical water main break affecting city-wide water usage
via City of Calgary Some sprinkler use and hose watering now permitted as City moves to Stage 2 Outdoor Water Restrictions Today, we achieved another major milestone in the recovery from the Bearspaw South Feeder Main break, by moving from Stage 3 to Stage 2 Outdoor Water Restrictions. This change allows for more outdoor water use, including watering with a hose and spray nozzle, and some sprinkler use according to set days and times.
