Statement from the Calgary Construction Association on Undocumented Workers on Calgary Construction Sites The Calgary Construction Association (CCA) is aware of recent reports concerning investigations by the Canadian Border Services Agency into potential undocumented workers on local construction sites. We want to be clear: the use of undocumented labour is illegal and unacceptable. It undermines the integrity of our industry, exposes workers to unsafe conditions, and creates unfair competition for legitimate contractors and tradespeople who follow the law. Reminder: Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant (CAPG) is Coming The Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant (CAPG) will open for applications in September 2025. Why it matters to your business Covers up to 50% of training costs (maximum $5,000 per employed trainee per year). Covers up to 75% of costs when training an unemployed Albertan (maximum $10,000 per trainee per year). Employers may access up to $100,000 in funding per fiscal year.
